Friday - Week 11

Unfortunately this week we did not complete the tractor pull challenge. With limited supplies being shared among all the teams, we ran out of time and supplies. After certification testing we hope to reclaim all of our part (including our small but strong wheels) and continue.

Monday - Week 11

This week we hope to finish up the build of our Weight Pulling Robot so we can start testing it. We have two parts that we are combining today or tomorrow to almost finalize the build. We feel like this build is extremely efficient and is perfect for this challenge. The following pictures are the two parts that we have built thus far.

Friday - Week 10

Nearing the end of our run, our super torque machine is practically complete. We have met our goals for this week and plan to take part in the tractor pull next week. Wish us Luck!

Wednesday- Week 10

We have already succeeded in taking apart the robot we build fro the racket ball challenge. We have split up the group into different tasks so we are able to succeed in finishing the weight pulling challenge. We did make a gearing mistake and have fixed it since then.

Monday - Week 10

This we are continuing to work on our new build for the weight pull challenge. There is a two-part design in mind and we hope we can pull it off without any problems. We also hope we can start working on the Solidworks portion of this design but we are waiting till we have more assurance on our design before we commit to one on Solidworks. We are using the small wheels for this challenge rather than the larger ones due to friction.

Wednesday - Week 9

Being as efficient as possible this week,we have been able to begin our new and improved robot for the next challenge: weight pull. Bringing in as much torque as possible our compound gearing is sure to get the job done. We all look forward to putting our design to the test.

Monday - Week 9

This week we tore apart our ball challenge build and began thinking of idea's for the weight pull challenge. We have a design in mind and plan to execute it. The following pictures include the final pictures of our ball challenge bot.

Friday- Week 8

Being as efficient as possible this week,we have been able to finish the racket ball challenge to begin our next challenge; weight pull. Bringing in as much torque as possible our compound gearing is sure to get the job done. We all look forward to designing this robot. Below are the pictures of the finish solid works for the racket ball challenge.

Wednesday- Week 8

We have now finished all our challenges for racket ball; below is the robot that did it all.

Monday - Week 8

This week probably won't have much in store due to testing. Today is the only day I will be fully in class and Thursday and Friday are the only other days that the group can work. We should be able to finish Solidworks and hopefully the racquetball challenge this week.

Here is the Autonomous Racquetball Challenge we completed:

Friday - Week 7

This was a short work week for us due to super testing days. Nevertheless, we were able to complete the ball drop challenge using remote control. Our greatest challenge this week was ensuring we had sufficient TORQUE. To do this we used compound gearing.

Wednesday- Week 7

Studying compound gearing for the arm of the robot for the ball challenge.  The current set up for the compound gears does not supply sufficient truck to lift the weight of the ball and the arm. Below is the new design that is to be implemented.

Monday - Week 7

We have completed the autonomous tetrahedron challenge and have started the ball challenge. We hope to complete this challenge this week as we are starting to run into testing days, which could hinder our work schedule. The mechanical and code has been started for the ball challenge.

Friday, April 15, 2016

Friday, week 6

This week we have met nearly all of our goals. We completed the tetrahedron challenge both manually and autonomously, and Parker began our Solidworks design. We are currently constructing a ball retrieval system.

Wednesday- Week Six
Our team has managed to put together code and build our robot for the tetrahedron challenge. Altho it took us two official times we managed to get it right the third time with 20 seconds left on Tuesday. Toady we are working as a group to get started on autonomous tetrahedron challenge. Below are pictures of us working today and of the robot

Monday - Week 6

This week we are very hopeful to complete the autonomous tetrahedron challenge. Our code has been started and we are getting closer and closer to our goals. Solidworks is a struggle but is slowly being completed. We may be able to finish up and start on the ball challenge this week.

Friday- Week 5

I feel proudly about all that our team has accomplished despite setbacks. We have completed our squarebot along with the challenge accompanying it. We have also begun our clawbot assembly and look forward to testing our design.

Wednesday, April 6, 2016

Wednesday- Week Five

Uncourtly the team was not able to compleat the square bot challenge while I was out. I was about to finished the coding for the autonomous square bot and pass the official test. We have now started out claw assembly.

Monday Week 5

This week we are going to start and hopefully finish the manual tetrahedron challenge. Given enough time, we hope to start on the autonomous coding and finish the Solidworks for the clawbot. Our design, so far, has been above par but is taking us longer to do than expected. We need to get back on track so that we can finish by the end of the school year.

Wednesday, March 30, 2016

Wednesday- Week Four

The Team should  be working hastily for the up coming square bot challenge. Also they should be hopefully splitting the work amongst them selfs to work as fast and efficient as possible.

Monday, March 28, 2016

Monday - Week 4

This week we plan to complete our SolidWorks model chassis with everything on it. We also need to finish our code for the duel chair challenge which is a challenge where we must code our robot to successfully drive around two chairs back to back, autonomously, three times. We have seen problems with our left motor and plan on fixing this issue immediately.

Wednesday- Week Three

Our team has unfortunately has not accomplished much since our last post. What has been finished is the solid works design for the square bot challenge. Thies can be seen below.

Monday, March 14, 2016

Monday - Week Three

This week we are going to complete our SolidWorks design of our robot and complete the robot tasks. We found the parts on 3dwarehouse.sketchup.com and have begun the design of the bot. We have finished the first task for the robot which is allowing Mr. Martin to test drive it around the room.

Friday, March 11, 2016

Friday-Week Two

This week we have been successful in our week's goals. Our robot is up and running, and Juan recently began our Solidworks design. We have started to construct our battery box. We plan to use Velcro on our battery and the box to secure it.

Wednesday, March 9, 2016

Wednesday- Week Two

Our team this week as so far accomplished building a majority of the chassis for our square bot. We all so have finished attaching the motors to the chaise of the square bot.

Monday, March 7, 2016

Monday - Week Two

During the next week, we hope to finish taking the robots that are left and to begin assembling our person robot from the VEX kit. Our cart is organized with our tools and parts for the robot. So far we gathered the parts for the chassis of the Claw Bot. The parts for the claw part of the bot were put into the community bins.

Friday - Week One

This week our team has been able to create, update, and manage our blog. Today we are finishing our recreation of our robot cart, which we are sharing with team Enigma. Next week we hope to began the assembly ideas for our robot.

Wednesday - Week one:

So far this week, we have accomplished putting together the bones of our blog with biographies, backgrounds and other add-ons. Also, we have decided to share a tools cart with Team Enigma. The following image is of an old, gutted, laptop cart.

Monday - Week One:

This week, we strive to complete the format of our blog page, present Cortex to the class, and begin working on what we hope to be our winning robot.
